Jim Rugg

Afrodisiac is one the most ass-kickingest comics of the year, so talking to Jim Rugg was a must to do. It’s a fine mix of spoilation films and 1970’s comic style His other recent release is One Model Nation, a story of a fictional krautrock band from the late 70’s early 80’s. If you know my personal music taste, that book was of interest to me.  Be sure to check out Street Angel and The Plain Janes for more Jim’s great stuff.

Thanks for the plug, burd! Much appreciated.

Kind of a sleepy interview. I think both of you guys needed some cawfee. The awkward moment about the lettering was entertaining though.

  2. Jude Killory says:

Robin what was the music you played in this episode? I was really digging on it! Great Hellen Jo piece by the way, how much does she charge for a submission? Jude

I liked the interview. Jim is a very dynamic artist. I think what made it awkward was that Robin didn’t know Jim is from Pittsburgh and Robin didn’t know where Pittsburgh is compared to Philly.

You finally did it kiddo (I surely am only like two days older than you..). Will listen to this with some gusto – THANKS!
