Inkstuds at the Vancouver Art Gallery

I was invited to give a talk at the Vancouver Art Gallery as a part of the comics related  programming for the Art Spiegelman Co-Mix show. Instead of just having me blather for an hour about comics, I thought it would be more interesting to do a panel with some creators I really liked. I asked Jen Vaughn and Emily Carroll to join and then had quite a hard time, but was eventually able to get Brandon Graham to make a rare public appearance with me. Thanks to all 3 of them for such thoughtful comments on their work and others. Below is a gallery of their own work that we discuss during the talk. The gallery did film it and the video will be posted online at some point soon hopefully. Thanks to Allison Collins and Bruce Grenville from the gallery for asking me.

The thumbnails, when clicked, seem not to make the art grow larger on my screen. I’m using Chrome.
