Jerry Moriarty’s Jack Survives has been one of those quietly influential books that has only been available to collectors that were willing to cough up the big dough to find a rare copy. Chris Ware even traded an original piece of his art for a copy of the book back when it was out of print. Bueventura Press has recently reprinted the work in a really nice complete collection. Check out Tom Spurgeon’s review of the work here.

I am behind in listening, but I am glad that I waited to hear this one. I love it! thanks for interviewing him, Robin.
Jerry was a delight to talk to and would happily do it again. Few interviews are that indepth.
Great interview.Hopefully a friend of mine would bring me the book to Argentina from a trip to the U.S.
Could you please tell me who does the opening song belong to, or is played by?I loved it.
Thanks!
The longer music was by Jemeel Moondoc and William Parker off of New World Pygmies and the shorter pieces were by Jerry himself.
I went to school with Jerry in Binghamton. I have wondered what happened to him
We were good friends. I’m glad to hear of his success. Good luck Jerry
