Part of my Toronto trip, was spent interviewing a couple of folks that who’s work is really exciting me right now. Michael DeForge is certainly near the top of my list of new creators doing amazing work. His first 2 issues of Lose have come out swinging with an eye for comics lore and stellar cartooning. This interview was conducted a couple of days before his much deserved Doug Wright award win. Go do yourself a favor and check out his livejournal for more info.

hey robin! it seems like the embedded player version cuts out at the 9min mark…?
It all comes up for me…hmmm…
great interview! what is the song playing in the beginning?
About the song in the beginning. A lyrics search in google turned up nothing. I tried playing it into midomi.com without luck. But after I edited the song out of the podcast and loaded it into MusicBrainz Picard, it was recognised as “Penny & The Quarters – You and Me”. From the compilation album “Eccentric Soul: The Prix Label”.

Michael’s research is correct. the show starts with You and Me by Penny and the Quarters and ends with Never Happened by Ross Johnson.

Now instead of needing people to publish Panter we need publishers who want to do Fort Thunder reprints. Especially Multiforce. If only Picturebox was still here.
